Who we are
Chemat Technology Inc. operates The Table, an educational site about casino table games. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Table is for adults 21 and over and does not offer real-money gambling.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Learning activity. Lessons you view, practice and trainer results, and the learning profile built from them, so we can show your progress and suggest what to practice next.
- Billing information. If you buy a paid membership, Stripe tells us which plan you have, whether payment succeeded, and the last four digits of your card. We do not see your full card number.
- Messages. Anything you send to support@wintablegames.com.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and error logs, which our hosting and infrastructure providers collect automatically.
- Cookies and similar storage. We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your practice progress and prompts. See "Cookies and video embeds" below.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and deliver the lessons and tools you use.
- To personalize practice, such as ordering games or suggesting lessons based on your activity.
- To answer your messages, send service notices, and tell you about changes to our policies.
- To understand how the site is used, fix bugs, prevent abuse and fraud, and comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed for that purpose. These include our hosting provider (Vercel), our database and authentication provider (Supabase), and Google for sign-in. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the site. If the business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
The site host (see "The site host" below) also uses Anthropic, which writes the host's replies, and Upstash, which keeps the counters that limit how often the host can be used.
Paid memberships are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of your payment, your plan and your billing status.
Cookies and video embeds
Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect the site. Some lessons embed YouTube videos using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may set its own cookies or collect data once you play a video, under its own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but sign-in and some features may stop working.
The site host
The Table has an AI host that greets you, answers questions about the games, and gently learns what you like so it can personalize your visit. The host is for practice and education only: it does not deal or simulate a game, and it does not involve real money. You can talk to the host without an account.
- What is sent to an AI provider. To write a reply, the host sends your message to our servers, and our servers send it to Anthropic, our AI provider. Along with it go the recent part of the conversation (your last few messages and the host's replies), a short summary of what the host already knows about you (such as your name, language, goal, how you like to be talked to, and things you have told it), and facts about the game you are looking at from our lessons. The first words you type to choose a language are sent the same way. We do not store your messages or the host's replies, not in our database and not in our own logs. Anthropic handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. Please do not type health information, financial details or ID numbers into a message: it would be sent to the provider like any other message.
- What stays on your device. The host keeps a small profile in your browser's storage, not on our servers: your name as you gave it, your language, the host you picked (style, name and look), your goal, how you like to be talked to, your play-money night budget, and things you told it (why you play, a trip you are planning, how you like to learn, games you like, your experience, and short notes). It also remembers which questions it has already asked or you skipped. Apart from the parts sent with a message as described above, we do not save any of this. The conversation itself is kept only in the page's memory and is gone when you close or reload the page. Your browser also keeps a few lines that are not personal, such as a translated copy of the site's own text, and a short welcome for a game page that lasts only until you close the tab.
- What we save in your account (signed-in members only). If you are signed in and you have picked a host, we save in our database the language you chose, your host's style, name and look, and when it was last changed. We also fill in your check-in answers (your experience, your favorite games and your goal) from what you told the host, but only the answers you have not given yet. We never overwrite an answer you gave. Nothing else the host learns, such as why you play, trips, how you like to learn, notes or your budget, is saved to your account.
- What we filter and what we never store. The host is told not to ask for health or mental-health details, exact income, savings or debts, or personal identifiers such as an address, a phone number, an ID or a card number, and not to talk about real money. Before anything is saved, obvious items of this kind (long numbers, email addresses, and words about health, debt and similar) are removed. This filter cannot catch everything. We never store chat text.
- How we use it. To make the host's replies, language and tone fit you, to order the games, and to show you what the host can explain. We do not use what the host learns to push you to play or spend more, or for advertising.
- Limits and technical data. To keep the host from being overused, our servers use Upstash, which keeps counters. They use a random visitor ID (in a cookie named tt_vid, kept for one year) and a scrambled form of your IP address (a salted hash, so we do not keep your raw IP address for this), and for signed-in members your account ID. These counters expire on their own within a day. Our usage log records only technical facts about each call: which part of the host was used, how much text was processed, how long it took, and whether it fell back to a built-in line. It never records the words.
- Cookies and browser storage the host uses. tt_vid (a cookie, one year, described above); tt_entered (a cookie, one year, remembers that you have seen the welcome screen); tt_order (a session cookie for signed-in members, holding your account ID and the order of the games, removed when you sign out); and browser storage named tt_host_v1 (your device profile), tt_host_chrome_v1 (translated site text) and tt_host_pit_ followed by a game name (a welcome line for a game page).
- How long we keep it. Your saved host is kept while your account is active. After you close your account it is deleted with the rest of your information within 90 days, or sooner if you use one of the choices below. The counters expire within a day. Your device profile stays until you erase it or clear your browser data. When you sign out, the host profile on that device that was linked to your account is removed the next time a page with the host loads.
- How to see, change and delete it. On the home page, the host's "What the host knows about me" panel lists what is on this device and lets you remove most items one by one, or erase everything on this device. Picking a different host or language changes what is saved in your account. If you are signed in, "Remove from account" in the same panel deletes only your saved host from our database; the check-in answers the host filled in stay, and the copy on your device stays. "Delete my profile" on your learning profile page removes your learning record, your check-in answers and your saved host from our database, but it cannot clear your device: use "Erase everything on this device" for that. To ask for a copy of what we hold, or to have it deleted, email support@wintablegames.com; we will respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and learning data while your account is active. After you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or security reasons.
Your choices and rights
Email support@wintablegames.com to access, correct, export or delete your information, or to close your account. We will respond within 30 days. California residents may request to know, delete or correct the personal information we hold. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Residents of the EEA or UK may also object to or ask us to restrict processing, and may complain to their data protection authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and established providers to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please protect access to your Google account.
Age restriction
The Table is not directed to anyone under 21. If we learn that we hold information from someone under 21, we will delete it.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page. If a change is material, we will also notify account holders.
