Hi-Lo Basics
Using strategy and attention at the table is legal, but casinos may ask players to leave. The bet formula is a starting point and does not guarantee profit.
What the video covers
- Hi-Lo values. 2 through 6 are +1, 7 through 9 are 0, and 10 through Ace are -1.
- Meaningful pairs. A +1 card and a -1 card cancel out, so you can take cards in groups instead of one by one.
- True count. The running count divided by the number of decks remaining.
- Bet units. Bet (true count - 1) units, and never less than the table minimum.
Note: the video rounds the true count to the nearest whole number. This site rounds down on purpose, to keep bets smaller.
